How do I book into see a dermatologist?
A referral from a GP is advised, however is not required to see a Dermatologist.
A referral is useful for several reasons-it enables you to receive the maximum rebate for Medicare items for the initial and subsequent consultations, including procedures. Additionally, a referral will aid in communication with your GP to ensure your doctor is kept up to date with any skin conditions you may have. This ensures that your medial records are accurate and current.

Our roster system ensures that urgent cases are seen within 48 hours of appointments. If you have an urgent rash that needs immediate attention book into for a consultation with one of our Specialists. Remember a referral is encouraged, though not mandatory.
Overseas Students and Visitors Welcome
Overseas visitors are entitled to services provided at Westside Dermatology without the need for a referral. Check with your Health Insurance cover whether services by a Specialist are covered.
