About Westside Dermatology
Westside dermatology is a specialist group practice of dermatologists located in Taringa. We are part of an increasing trend of specialist centres outside of the traditional Wickham Terrace/ CBD practices.
The center services the population of the Western corridor extending from Toowoomba, Ipswich, Springfield and the inner western suburbs of Brisbane. However we have many patients from the Northern Suburbs, Bayside and as far north as Cairns. As specialist in our field we are the industry leaders and authority on skin disorders, skin cancer diagnosis and treatments.
Our facility features unparalleled medical and surgical expertise, with state-of-the-art technology. The latest medical, surgical and cosmetic techniques and advancements are practiced in a caring and friendly environment. The majority of procedures including skin cancer surgery, photodynamic therapy, Intense Pulse light treatments are conducted in our two state of the art operating theaters.
Training, Experience & Expertise
All of our specialists completed their medical degree at the University of Queensland before entering training for Australasian College of Dermatologist. Our specialists gained a minimum of 6 years experience, and numerous examinations in addition to a six year primary degree before attaining the consultant dermatologist title. All our doctors have done further speciality training in the United Kingdom in addition to the minimum standards of training as set by the Australasian College of Dermatologists
Integrity
As specialist we cut through the marketing and commercial aspects of skin care and provide accurate diagnoses and ethical treatments of the highest standard to our patients. We work closely with your referring General Practioner, and if needed liaise with other specialist including Plastic Surgeons, radiation oncologist, ophthalmologists and general physicians.
