Oily skin solutions
Oily skin, a condition known as seborrhoea, is a common skin condition seen after adolescence and can be associated with acne. The impact to the patient is often underestimated by many treating physicians. Patients frequently experience greasiness on areas such as the forehead, nose and cheek- areas where there are high concentrations of sebaceous glands. Additionally some patients suffer from excessively greasy scalp and hair, which can be both uncomfortable and embarrassing.
Treatments are aimed at either reducing oil production or by decreasing the hormonal input which modulates oil production.
