Before seeing us, you may want to know a little about your skin condition, or treatments available. You can use the search function on our website to find out more.

To allow an accurate examination of your facial skin, please ensure that all make up is removed well before the consultation.

Make sure you arrive at least 15 minutes before the scheduled appointment as there are new patient forms to fill out.  Pre-filling the forms from our New Patient Pack will save time.

During your visit your dermatologist will discuss your problem and conduct an examination of the relevant areas. If the diagnosis is uncertain a skin biopsy is performed at the time of consultation. More complicated procedures are performed on another day.  Photographs are frequently taken for identification purposes and documentation prior to many procedures. We respect your identity and ensure the utmost in patient confidentiality.

To assist your Dermatologist, you should attempt to photograph intermittent rashes, additionally bring any relevant pathology reports and a list of medications you take.

Westside Dermatology is a Private Billing practice with standardized fees across our Consultants. Patients are encouraged to have a valid referral from their own doctor to obtain Medicare rebates.

*   Additional fees apply to procedures such as cryotherapy and biopsies.
** Pathology fees are usually bulked billed by our service provider.

We attempt to provide an accurate guide as to the costs of cosmetic treatments and will discuss in detail with patients about upfront fees.

On site parking is available at Westside Dermatology. The car park entrance is a narrow lane way immediately beyond the building. Car parking is also available before and after our practice.

The City Council also provides off street parking with a 2 hour time limit. 

We suggest patients arrive at least 15 minutes earlier to allow for parking.
